VIRTUAL GLASS MUSEUM At the Virtual Glass Museum, Angela Bowey aims to bring you in-depth articles about a wide range of glass. The site includes glass from England, New Zealand, and the United States. Also see The Glass Encyclopedia . THE GLASS ENCYCLOPEDIA "The Glass Encyclopedia is intended to be the ultimate reference source on glass. It covers a list of topics that will be increased and up-dated regularly, building up to a fully comprehensive glass encyclopedia on-line. Each topic has its own page and contains a definition of the topic with interesting background and history. The focus of this site is on Depression Glass and Elegant Glass of the 1920-1950s. A hard-working band of volunteers maintains and adds to this wonderful resource. WVMAG aka WEST VIRGINIA MUSEUM OF AMERICAN GLASS name change to MAGWV aka Museum of American Glass in West VirginiaImagine a museum dedicated to the region and nation's rich glass heritage. A place where examples of thousands of products can be viewed and compared and where the stories of people and processes come to life! The WVMAG provides this and much, much more. Many manufacturers of black glass are not well documented. Central Glass Works, Dunbar Glass Corporation, Louie Glass ... the list is endless. If you like in-depth research and discovering the identification of YOUR black glass this group is for you. The WVMAG "maintains a free public museum of glass in Weston, West Virginia where the products of dozens of famous and lesser-known glass companies are displayed. Interactive displays about glass for youngsters sit beside interpretive exhibits and glass as art! Groups of all ages and sizes are welcome at WVMAG!" WVMAG offers several monographs on glass and old glass catalog reprints. Many of the publications contain never-before published glass company information. The prices are very reasonable! But, if you spend $25.00 (or more) for a membership and a quarterly newsletter, they offer a membership discounted price on the publications. With membership, the publications are downright cheap. Ebay is the largest online auction site. You can gain a wealth of information by looking at the various auctions. Of course every seller is not knowledgeable in every area, so there are mistakes. In addition to the auctions, Ebay has many Community Discussion Boards,

THE SHOWCASE GLASS LINKS The Showcase Glass Links, a "Support Group For Glassaholics"is hosted by Louis and Charlotte Rouse. There are links of interest to all glass collectors - glass definitions, cleaning, restoring, history of glass manufacturers, etc. There are links to glass companies and glass collecting societies. There are links to areas of interest such as EAPG (Early American Pressed Glass).
